Yelena Levitin, MD, FACS, is a general and minimally invasive surgeon treating patients throughout the Northwest suburbs and Greater Chicagoland area. She sees patients at Chicago Surgical Clinic, in Arlington Heights, Illinois, where she also serves as medical director. With nearly 25 years of experience, Dr. Levitin is highly skilled in all aspects of surgery, including trauma, reconstructive and extirpative procedures, emergency care, and surgical endoscopy.
Passionate about education, Dr. Levitin’s interest in science and medicine began during her time at the prestigious Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where she pursued a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology. She later continued her medical education at Northwestern, enrolling in The Feinberg School of Medicine. After earning her medical doctorate in 1995, Dr. Levitin completed her residency at Rush-Pres-St. Luke’s Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, and ultimately decided to specialize in minimally invasive and general surgery.
Dr. Levitin’s wide range of clinical expertise also includes reconstructive, endoscopic, and incision-less surgery. She prides herself in being at the forefront of surgical diagnosis, innovation, and technology. Dr. Levitin has always been committed to providing high-quality urgent and emergency care to her patients. Dr. Levitin’s experience and surgical skill set allows her patients to get back on their feet as soon as possible
She has owned and operated Chicago Surgical Clinic for more than 18 years, and is currently closely affiliated with the Associated Surgical Center, as well as the Advocate and AMITA hospital systems.
Outside of the office, Dr. Levitin enjoys swimming, long walks with her two rescue dogs, and spending time with her family.
